“It’s completely changed how we communicate on the go.”

Simply Telecom set us up with a VoIP phone system that allows our team to stay connected and professional while out on site. Calls come through clearly, voicemails go straight to email, and we no longer miss important enquiries. The system is easy to use and has made a big difference to how we manage customer communication.

  • There are a variety of business broadband options available, at varying speeds and prices. The following list goes from the slowest speeds up to fastest:

    1. ADSL – a type of broadband technology that uses existing copper telephone lines to transmit data. It operates on the principle of sending digital data over the existing telephone lines while allowing simultaneous use of the line for voice communication. ADSL will be a victim of ‘The Big Switch Off’ in 2025.

    2. SoGEA/FTTC – SoGEA is a broadband service that provides a fibre-optic connection to the street cabinet (FTTC), with the final connection to the premises being delivered over the existing copper telephone line. SoGEA eliminates the need for a traditional phone line, as voice services can be provided over the internet (VoIP).

    3. FTTP – FTTP is a broadband connection that delivers fiber-optic cables directly to individual premises, eliminating the need for copper wires in the last mile. FTTP provides consistent performance even during peak usage times and is highly scalable. While it offers significant advantages, it may not be as widely available as other broadband options due to the cost and infrastructure required for deployment.

    4. Leased Line – A leased line is a dedicated, symmetric data connection between two points, typically used by businesses or organizations that require high-speed, reliable internet access. Unlike traditional broadband connections, leased lines are not shared with other users, ensuring consistent performance. Leased lines offer guaranteed bandwidth, low latency, and high reliability, making them suitable for applications such as video conferencing, cloud computing, and mission-critical data transfer. However, leased lines are more expensive than other broadband options and may require longer installation times due to the need for dedicated infrastructure.

  • When selecting a business broadband service, key features to consider include speed, reliability, scalability, security, and support. These features ensure that businesses can effectively leverage their internet connectivity to meet their operational needs.

  • We pride ourselves on fast setup. If we’re sending a 4G/5G router, you can be online in 1-2 business days (shipping time). For fibre installations, it usually takes a couple of weeks depending on engineer scheduling and line availability – sometimes sooner if the infrastructure is ready. We’ll give you a clear timeframe when you order, and we often beat the quoted dates.

  • Yes, we include a high-quality business router with Wi-Fi for all broadband customers. It’s fully configured for you. Our routers can easily handle dozens of devices. For larger offices or special requirements (like guest networks or multiple floors), we can provide additional Wi-Fi access points or a more advanced setup – just let us know your needs.

  • Absolutely. Our broadband works great with VoIP phone systems – in fact, we offer VoIP services too, so you can bundle for convenience. If you have a traditional phone line for voice, many of our broadband packages include a line or we can advise on transitioning to digital voice. We’re a one-stop telecom provider, so we’ll ensure your phone and internet both run smoothly.
